He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Bennett and Mona Bennett; and his sister Carol Miller. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Sue Laye Bennett; his children, Clifton C. "Chuck" Bennett, Jr. (Sandra), Christi Willingham (John) and Melissa Laing (Nathan); and his sister Terri Lock (Joe). He is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
