Rita Maxine Farris Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Maxine Farris of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Franklin and Hazel Amelia Farris Parlette; her husband Bobby Thomas Farris; her daughter Sheree Lynn Farris; and her brother George William Parlette.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Anne Day (Roger) of Great Cacapon, WV, Lisa Ellen Fields (Kim) of Farmville, NC, Rita Renee Harris (Timothy) of Berkeley Springs, WV and Mary Beth Farris of Berkeley Springs, WV; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca, Jonathan, Natasha, Haleigh, Monica, Elicia, Amanda, Chelsea, Jenzen, Jacob, Timothy, Erick and Breanna. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center (95 Union St, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
