He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lee Bowyer and Mary E. Bowyer Brooks; his wife Diana Louise VanHall Bowyer; his stepfather Charles Elmer Brooks; and his grandson Joseph Alan Newlin.
He is survived by: his children, Patty Lynn Boyle (John) of Cape May, NJ, JoAnne Lenore Mankowski (Vincent) of Lexington Park, MD, Janet Lee Wise (Paul) of Spokane, WA, Trent Patrick Riley, II of Berkeley Springs, WV, Warren Jackson Riley, III (Daisha) of Berkeley Springs, WV and William Roosevelt Bowyer (Danielle); and his sister Gloria "Suzie" Quillen of Maryland. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
