He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Lambert and Wilda Summerfield Lambert; his spouse Artie Leeora Ramsey; his siblings, Mary Marsh, Lillian Scott and Franklin Lambert; and his half-brother Shirley Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Lambert Jr. (Uneda) and Teresa Simmons (Nicholas); his grandchildren, Willie Lambert (Hannah Williams), Tarina Simmons, John Lambert and Katlyn Lambert; his great grandchild Preston Lambert; his sisters, Barbara Ramsey (Carl) and Carolyn McGee (Jerry); his brothers-in-law, Fred Marsh and Jesse Ramsey; and his friends, Rick James and Dave Lloyd. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousin.
