She is survived by: her children, David A. Denton, Sr., Maywanda of North Carolina, Homer L. Denton "Pee Wee" (Linda "Sissy), James L. Denton "Chuck" (Dianna), Douglas W. Denton, Sr. (Naomi "Ann) and Debby L. Denton Stillwell (James "Jamie); her grandchildren, Teri Denton, Michael Denton "Mike" (Samantha), Jessica Phillips (Chucky), Rebecca Byrd (Biff), Kimberly Denton (Tori West), Jamie Denton (Ashley), James R. Denton, Christal, Mark Lester, Stanley, Molina Roberts, Kenny, Shawna Roberts, Carla and Lyle Day; and her siblings, Mary Massey of Virginia, Peg Hill (Joe) of Virginia, Norma Smithson (Arnold) of Virginia, Kay Foley (Curt) of Virginia and Audrey Denton "Mackie" of West Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
