She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Horton and Vida Mae Horton; and her sons, Christopher Scott and Corey Scott. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Mark Pennington; and her daughter Shonja McPherson of Johnson City, TN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
