He is survived by: his wife Brenda Mae Jones Kessinger of Bluefield; his children, Clifton Boyd Kessinger (Lisa) and Shelby Jean Kessinger (Yogie Workman); and his siblings, Larry Kessinger of Radford, Virginia, Patricia McCoy of McCoy, Virginia, Carrie Sue of Christiansburg, Virginia, Brenda of Christiansburg, Virginia and Sandra Simms of Austin, Texas..
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
