She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Nanette Duncan Brown; her husband Allen W. Powers; and her grandson Roger "Brad" Wilburn. She is survived by: her children, Allen Powers Jr. (Elaine) of Bluewell, WV, Elizabeth Wilburn (Scott Broyles) of Bluewell, WV, Elaine Cowan of Bluefield, WV, Donna Gibson (Charles) of Dublin and Anita Monk (Danny) of Gahanna, Ohio.. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
