He was predeceased by: his parents, Opie McKinney and Haley McKinney (Mathews); and his sisters, Margaret Mosher and Sally Krimiser. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Money McKinney; his daughters, Michele Gearheart (Ron) and April Bishop (Chris); his great grandchildren, Haley Mogan (Alex), Cody Bishop, Christopher Bishop (Courtney), JT McKinney, Leah Gearheart, Abyrn Hampton-Mogan, Asher Mogan, Avery Mogan, Axton Mogan, Aspen Mogan and Maverick McKinney; his grandchildren, Katie Hodges, John and Meg Floyd; his brothers, Chester McKinney (Jane), Kenneth McKinney (Pat) and Dave McKinney; and his sister-in-law Barbara Pollard (Rusty). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mountaineer Bowling Lanes Youth Bowling League 3224 E. Cumberland Rd., Bluefield, WV 24701.
