He is survived by: his sons, James Thomas and Joseph Thomas; his great grandchild Juse Thomas; his children, Juan Thomas (Stacey) of Bluefield, Delaney Thomas (Shawna) of Princeton, Shawn Thomas (Geneal) of Princeton and Falena Thomas; his grandchildren, Tiara Mabry (Ray) of North Carolina, James Thomas (Kelly) of North Carolina, La-Breya Thomas of North Carolina, Keiron Moorman of North Carolina, Ryan of North Carolina and Olivia Vandevander of North Carolina; his sister Loretta Whitfield (Jerome) of Huntington, WV.; his nephew Robert Younger; his niece Debra Gravely; and his stepgrandchildren, Justin Blankenship (Haleigh) of Peterstown, Madeline Martin (Timothy) of Bluefield and Harlee Blankenship of Princeton. He is also survived by 20 Great-grandchildren, 6 Step-grandchildren, and a huge host of niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Homes (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home and the Service Will Start Immediately After.
