She was predeceased by : her parents, Lance Hall and Arnolene Hall Austin; her husband James D. Sawyers; and her sister Joyce Skerko. She is survived by : her children, Jonathan Sawyers and Elizabeth Sawyers Lowman; her brother Arnold Hall; her grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, Meagan and Kaylan Sawyers; and her nephew Kenny Skerko. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel (1231 W Cumberland Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
