He is survived by : his daughters, Crystal Hammock (Reuben) of Asheboro, NC and Rebecca Underwood (Chris Moore) of High Point, NC; his siblings, Brenda Persianni, Lonnie Underwood (Cathy), Mike Underwood and Beverly Underwood (Marlene); his niece Alisha Pendergrass (Roger); and his grandchildren, Zachery, Hailey, Tristan and Taylor Mae.
