She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Day and Nellie Fay Nelson Day; her daughter Virginia Fay Carter; and her sister Mary Stevenson. She is survived by: her husband Emerson Carter; and her sister Edna of Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
