He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Anderson Thompson and Pauline Williams Barker; his wife Eleanor Louise Thompson; his son Daniel Wesley Thompson; and his brother Raymond "Buddy" Thompson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Francis Stoot of New Orleans, LA and William Keith Thompson (Sherry) of Killeen, TX; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Holbert of Bridgeport, WV. and Josephine Holbert of Bridgeport, WV.; his sons, David Morris (Janet), Todd Thompson (Beverly) and Larry Dean Thompson II (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Kristin Helms (William Swiger), David Morris (Brandi), T. J. Thompson (Kelly Rittenhouse), Deborah Cornett (Aaron) and Abigail Loss (Xander); and his great grandchildren, Paisley and Paxton Helms. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Dean Thompson to Harrison County Humane Society or K9 Partners for Patriots.
