He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bruce and Helen Hillis Bruce; his daughter Sharon Denise Bruce; and his siblings, Dorothy Hicock, Eleanor Lee, Paul, Donald and Calvin Bruce.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Quick Bruce; his daughter Ginger; his son-in-law Bernie Dearth of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Jared Dearth of Denver, CO and Hannah Dearth Eades (Nick) of Chattanooga, TN; his sister Marion Salisbury of Cooperstown, NY; and his caregivers, Heather Murphy, Andrew Lamkin, Sharon McDonald, Jennifer, Miranda, Kendra and Brenna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A committal service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Montgomery Memorial Park (9616 E Dupont Ave, Handley, WV 25126).
