With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Harry Cancelmi Jr. of Bridgeport, West Virginia, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry J. and Mary M Cancelmi (Smetana); and his brother Norbert of Bethel Park, PA.. He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his stepchildren, Ashley Bailey (Brandon) and Joshua Stewart (Staci); and his siblings, Louis Cancelmi (Annette) of Mars, PA and Rita of Verona, PA.. He is also survived by five step grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Harry to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jeﬀerson Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370.

“Harry was an inspiration to many of us on several different levels. Most visible was his dedication to those he served in his capacity as public defender. And he did it without a lot of public recognition outside of our local legal system. He had several good qualities two of which were his integrity and dependability. Added to that is the fact that he really cared about those he represented. I hope there will be some way a few of us can gather together and honor Harry's life.”
