He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Layton and Mildred Peters Layton; and his wife Judith Saliga Layton. He is survived by: his son Stefan Layton of Bridgeport; his brother Fred Layton (Elizabeth); his nephew Matthew Saliga (Summer); his nieces, Julie Saliga and Emily Saliga (Justin); and his great-niece Ava Prickett.
