He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Buford Cleavenger and Kittie Cleavenger (Weber); his wife Sheila Lorene Cleavenger (Wood); his son-in-law John L. Adams, Jr.; and his siblings, Charles, Robert, Oliver Cleavenger, Hazel Wilson, Mildred Lawson, Lena Heckman and Jeannie Marsh.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Adams of Poway, CA and Lary Cleavenger (Kenna) of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Joe Adams, Sam Adams, Andrea Adams, Brianna Adams and Lary Cleavenger, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Addie and Frances; and his siblings, Richard Cleavenger (Patty) of Texas and Joanne Athey of Mineral Wells.
