We bid farewell to Margaret Ann (Woods) Mayo of Bridgeport, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 16, 2025 at the age of 93. Margaret Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, H. Phillip Woods and Bertie L. Woods; her husband Franklin E. Mayo; her brother George Woods; and her half-brother Stanley Woods.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Mayo (Carol) of Dublin, OH, Becky Alastanos (Mike) of Bridgeport, WV, Nancy White (Jeff) of Alexandria, KY and David Mayo (Lisa) of Dublin, OH.; and her grandchildren, Allen, Marybeth (Chris Kallas), Sarah, Louie, Ben Mayo, Tiffany Alastanos-Martin (John), Jennifer Gemmellaro (John), Jessie Erickson (Jon), Sydney Drew (Brandon), Rachel, Taylor White, Grace, Lindsay and Marie Mayo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel (215 E Main St, Bridgeport, WV 26330). The lying in state will be held on Monday, August 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the church at 251 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330 or to your favorite charity.
