He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Light and Flossie Tenney Light; his stepmother Lera Light; and his siblings, Exil, Lancel Light, Mavis Woody, Gaitha Hoover and Mona Lee Light.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Lynn Light of Buckhannon and Kim Gratton (Patricia) of Mt. Airy, MD; his grandson Shawn Gratton (Lindsey); his great grandchild Jaclyn of Annapolis, MD; his grandson Bradley Gratton of Baltimore, MD; his sister Connie Light; his sisters-in-law, Nelda Light (Exil), Marie Light (Lancel) and Joan George of Cary, NC; and his wife Alice Dawson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
