She was predeceased by : her parents, Stephen William and Hannah Pearl Riggle Murphy; her husband Dr. John; her granddaughter Margaret Ellen Godwin; her brother Stephen William Murphy Jr.; and her son-in-law Dale Manuel.

She is survived by : her daughters, Anne Manuel of Charles Town, WV and Jane Godwin (David) of Buckhannon; her grandchildren, Sarah Bonacorda of Martinsburg, WV, Jocelyn Peters (Greg) of Buckhannon, Martha Manuel (Sebastian Engel) of Charles Town, WV and Dr. Donovan Godwin (Casey); and her great grandchildren, Bella of Martinsburg, WV, Emma of Martinsburg, WV, Madelyn Bonacorda of Martinsburg, WV, Matthew of Buckhannon, Michael of Buckhannon, Brynne Peters of Buckhannon, Charlotte Engel of Charles Town, WV, Mia Manuel of Charles Town, WV and Declan Godwin of Swansboro, NC..

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (52 S Florida St, Buckhannon, WV 26201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bucklew Fund at Bethany College, to WV Wesleyan College, or to a nature organization of choice.
