He was predeceased by: his parents, Telford Stump and Manoka Greenleaf Stump; his sons, Timothy Alan Stump and Thomas Michael Stump; his brothers, Robert Michael Stump and Ted Stump; his stepgrandson Patrick; and his daughter-in-law Charlene Stump.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Casella; his children, Anthony "Tony" Stump (Martha) of Marietta, OH, David Stump (Rachel) of Ellamore, WV and Deborah Stump of New Orleans, LA; his grandchildren, Andrew Stump of Marietta, Joshua Stump (Amberly) of Buckhannon, Nicholas Stump (Jenna) of Morgantown, WV, Patrick of Marietta, Cameron Stump of Marietta and Nina Stump of Morgantown; his great grandchildren, Kenton of Buckhannon, Felix of Buckhannon, Gannon Stump of Buckhannon and Jacob Stump of Morgantown; his siblings, Greg Stump (Fay) of Hedgesville, WV, Joyce Gregory of Buckhannon and Patricia Hall of Buckhannon; his daughter-in-law Gail Stump of Braxton County, WV; his stepgrandchildren, Mark and Natasha; his nieces and nephews, Jim, Jenni, Rob, Kara Jo, Teddy, Nicole, Greg, Tony David, Christopher, Bill and Matt; and his siblings-in-law, Peter J. Casella (Twila) of Buckhannon and Paula Burnett (Tom) of Indiana, PA..
