He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana Orthur and Monna Gatewood Conrad Sayre; and his brother Davy Wayne Sayre. He is survived by: his children, Melissa A. Sayre Tenney (Kenneth C. Tenney, Jr.) of Buckhannon and James D. Sayre of French Creek; his grandson James C. Tenney (Rebecca) of Jane Lew; his great grandchildren, Ethan Tenney, Jessica Claypool, Jasmine Claypool, Harley Collins, Baxton Claypool and James Tenney, Jr.; his great great grandchildren, Evelyn and Wyatt Tenney; and his siblings, Arthur Sayre (Patty) of Buckhannon and Diana Hope Sayre Patterson of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
