Joyce Taylor Crites Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Taylor Crites of Buckhannon, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Taylor and Opal Jeffries Taylor; her husband Frank Crites; her son Rick Crites; her grandson Michael Weaver; and her siblings, Mary Lou Taylor, Helen June Gibson and Billy Jo Taylor.

She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Sheets (Ron) of Buckhannon; her grandchildren, Lindsay Weaver-Gibson (David) of Sacramento, CA, R. J. Crites (Katrina) of Buckhannon, Lauren Crites of Pittsburgh, PA and Eric Milburn of Sarasota, FL; her great grandchildren, Taylor and Torin Gibson of Sacramento; her sister Elizabeth "Libby" Taylor Adams of Stow, OH; and her daughter-in-law Debby Milburn of Pittsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tennerton United Methodist Church or Crosslines in her memory.
