We announce the death of Marlene Warner Ledbetter of Buckhannon, West Virginia, who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 89. Marlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Sexton and Frantie Louise Wilfong Warner; her husband Walter Mack Ledbetter, Jr.; and her sisters, Arlena Marple and Ethel Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter Datha Diane Powers of Buckhannon; her grandchildren, Datha Danielle Small (Elvis Lee, Jr.) of Fairmont, WV and Steven Nicholas Powers of Buckhannon; her great grandchild Zephaniah Christian Small of Fairmont; Larry Harvey of Buckhannon, Richard of Buckhannon, Thelma Myers of Buckhannon, Sue of Buckhannon and Bill Michaels of Buckhannon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home (95 S Kanawha St, Buckhannon, WV 26201). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at the Buckhannon Memorial Park Hall.
