It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Carpenter (Buckhannon, West Virginia), who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sullie Carpenter and Retha Virginia Gooden Carpenter. He is survived by: his close friend Lisa Rodriguez; his sons, Don Carpenter of French Creek and Gary Carpenter (Tonya) of French Creek; his daughter-in-law Hope Suder; his grandchildren, Heather, Autumn and Kandi Carpenter; his stepgrandchildren, Rachel Ball and Jamie Poling; his great grandchild Micah; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Felicity and Parker; his siblings, Madeline Page (Paul) of Buckhannon, Dwight Carpenter (Carolyn) of Hemlock and Allen Carpenter (Joyce) of French Creek; and his close friend Troy "Buddy" Brady. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
