He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren W. Smith, Jr. and Imogene Morris Smith; his wife Judith Ann "Pug" Smith; his son Jeffrey B. "Deg" Smith; and his sisters, Reva Jean Meadows and Annis Aluise Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry O. "Dusty" Smith, II (Leigh) of Morgantown and Kerry A. "Deak" Smith (Tina) of Eleanor; his grandchildren, Jada Powell of Pompano Beach, Casey Smith of Morgantown, Evan Smith of Morgantown, Cali Ann Hudnall of Charleston, Jerod Taylor of Cumberland, Ty Smith of Eleanor and Sydney Smith of Eleanor; his great grandchildren, Ella Rae Taylor and Nolan Wayne Taylor; and his siblings, Avis Ann Newman, Marvin Wayne Smith, Dallas Edward Smith and Jamez Morris-Smith.
