With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Ann Shroades (Bunker Hill, West Virginia), who passed away on September 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Frances leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Frances may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Crable and Mabel Virginia Harrison Crable; and her siblings, Danny, Jack, Jimmy and Helen.
She is survived by: her children, F. Michael Smith (Kathryn P.) of Bunker Hill, Steven P. Smith (Angie) of Tustin, California and Cara Lynn Pensinger (Craig) of Clear Springs, Maryland; and her sister Carol. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Independent Bible Church (2306 Hedgesville Rd, Martinsburg, WV 25403).
