She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Knighten and Loretta Ann Mason Knighten; her husband Larry Penwell; and her sisters, Joyce and Renee.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Monticello, JoAnn Ancell and Robert Ancell; her grandchildren, Savannah Monticello, Austin Bowman, Brandon Johnson, Tiffani, Andrew Monticello, James Monticello, Jada Wood, Christopher Wood and Brandy Haines; her great grandchildren, Gracelyn Johnson and Madison Johnson; and her siblings, Robert Knighten, Theresa Hopkins, Yvonne Hess, Marsha Smith and Annette White.
