He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Bennett Burke; his wife Judy Ferguson; and his grandchildren, Brian Sauers and Jehryn Norris. He is survived by: his children, Judy Sauers and Carl Norris; and his granddaughter Emily Sauers.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Roger to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
