She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Shells, Sr. and Zelda Mae Shells (Vinson); and her siblings, Otis, Richard, Sylvester Jr., James Sr., Dorsey Sr. Shells, Mabel, Victoria, Willa Mae and Mary Shells.
She is survived by: her nieces, Josephine, Vanetta and Toni; her daughter Gwendolyn Shells; her grandchildren, Craig and Khalisa Shells; her great grandchildren, Craig M. Shells, Crystal Moore, Elijah Shells, Anthony Shells, Elizabeth Shells and Dior Dokes; her great great grandchild Jeremiah Shells; and her siblings, William Shells of Camden, DE, Ruth Carter (Shells) of East Orange, NJ and Carolyn Hunter (Shells) of Henderson, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
