She was predeceased by: her husband R. G. Cecil (Hoopie); her son Erick Shawn Cecil; and her siblings, Donzel Hornbeck, John Edward Hornbeck, Lynda Edgar and Nellie Catherine Hornbeck.
She is survived by: her children, Genie Moninger (Jeff), Gatha Kinneer (Shawn) and Nikki Hetzel (Jerald); and her brothers, Keith Hornbeck and Joe Hornbeck (Pam). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Sondra donated her remains to WVU through the Gift Registry, in the hopes to further medical education and research. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Michaeljfox.org, to further Parkinsons research.
