He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee "Bill" Burnette and Nancy Jaqueline "Jackie" Burnette (Taylor) of Bowie, MD.; and his sister Camille M. Burnette. He is survived by: his children, Michael L Burnette, Jr. of Nitro, WV, Matthew H. Burnette of Poca, WV, Michaela L Bias and Joshua E Bias of Huntington, WV.; his brother William Lee Burnette, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV; and his stepmother Sandra Burnette of Berkeley Springs, WV.
