He was predeceased by : his daughter Melba Jean; his parents, Elsie and Clark Leroy Balser; and his siblings, Buck, Charles and Judy.

He is survived by : his children, Kenneth (Glenda) of Blakeley and Sonya (Chris) of East Bank; his grandchildren, Michael, Correy, Samantha, Kathleen and Aurora; and his great grandchildren, Sarah, Lacie, Chase, Jake, Owen, Shaelyn and Jazmine. He is also survived by other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cooke Funeral Home and Crematorium - Cedar Grove (600 Old Fort St, Cedar Grove, WV 25039). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cooke Funeral Home Chapel (600 Old Fort St, Cedar Grove, WV 25039).
