Stella Duvall Obituary

Stella Maxine Smith Duvall home passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

She was born in Tyler County, WV on August 5, 1933 as the first child of Ralph Smith and Lillian Irene Myers Smith. Her life was shared with her siblings: Jim, (Doris), Harold (Whozie), Martha Ann (Bob) and Mary Kay (Donnie).

Her husband, Kenneth Duvall, preceded her in death. Maxine leaves five children. Kenneth (Cynthia) Jean, Mary Jane (Lance), Beverly (Randy), and Tim (Emilee), sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Marietta and Ann and brother-in-law Bill (Peg) Duvall.

Maxine was a reading teacher for Windham Exempted Schools for twenty plus years. She was an avid reader and gardener and loved to preserve the vegetables she grew in her garden. She also loved to make freezer applesauce with apples from her own apple trees.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davis Funeral Homes, Salem WV.
