David Gore Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of David Gore of Chapmanville, West Virginia. David, born on August 16, 1950, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Gore and Vida Gore. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Gore; his son David Earl Gore (Joetta) of Chapmanville, WV; his grandchildren, Erin Farris (Treyton) of Hurricane, WV and Luke Gore of Chapmanville, WV; his siblings, Freelin Gore of Chapmanville, WV, Barbara Moore (Jim) of Ranger, WV and Freda Sowards (Donzie) of Culloden, WV; his sisters-in-law, Ola Mae Gore of Chapmanville, WV, Barbara Gore of Chapmanville, WV, Anna Chambers (Paul) of Williamstown, WV, Barbara Sparks of Chapmanville, WV and Lynda Sparks of East Liverpool, OH; and his lifelong hunting buddy Robert Adkins of Harts, WV. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (220 Main St, Chapmanville, WV 25508). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
