She was predeceased by: her parents, Hillard Halcomb and Vivian Halcomb; her husband Willard Mac Thompson, Sr.; her son Willard Mac Thompson, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Chester Chafin.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa McCormick (Thomas) of Chapmanville, WV; her granddaughters, Tabitha Farley (Colton) of Cross Lanes, WV and Tonya McCormick of Huntington, WV; her great grandchild Jeremiah Farley; her sisters, Margaret Chafin and Francie Collins (Chuck); and her nieces and nephews, Sarah Kostuch (Joe), Candy Collins, Curt Collins (Katie), Chester Chafin (Ann), Dale Casterline, Dwayne Casterline, Eldon Chafin, Emily Casterline, Emmett and Ruth Bias. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Handley Funeral Home- Danville (439 Phipps Ave, Danville, WV 25053). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Halcomb Cemetery (542 State Hwy 463, Gordon, KY 41819).
