It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clayton Anthony Grubbs of Charles Town, West Virginia, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Grubbs and Patricia Bigoness Grubbs (Long); his sister Katherine Jordan; and his stepbrother Gary Alley. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Grubbs; his stepmother Sharon Grubbs; his children, Christopher Grubbs (Brittany), Catelynn Oden (Timothy) and Chelsea Grubbs (William); his grandchildren, Chase, Ryleigh, Gracie, Paisley, Nolan, Noah and Avery; his sister Cynthia Grubbs-Greer; and his stepsister Dee Pugh. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home (256 Halltown Rd, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (49 Crosswinds Dr, Charles Town, WV 25425).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
