He was predeceased by: his parents, Waymon William Bowles and Emma Mae Kirk Bowles; and his siblings, Billy, Danny, Charlie, William Bowles, Louise Bowers and Martha Simons.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lou Breeden Bowles; his son James "Jimmy" Bowles, Jr. of Charles Town; his siblings, Roger Bowles of Kearneysville, Walter Bowles of Charles Town and Loretta Bowles of Martinsburg; and his grandsons, Brennan and Garrett.
