He was loved and cherished by many people including : his father Paul Rene Chagnon; his siblings, Annette Matthews, Beatrice Gardiner, Paul Rene Chagnon and Junior; his wife Linda Jane Shrope of Slingerlands; his daughter Jacqueline; and his grandchildren, James, Douglas and Amanda. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren.
