She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius D. "Bill" Mercer and Mary "Jennie" Mercer (Hough) of Virginia; and her granddaughter Christina Crawford. She is survived by: her husband Carl Bruce Secrist of Charles Town; her children, Christopher Oden of Martinsburg, Eric Oden (Sara) of Inwood, Kimberly Rickard (Tim) of Hedgesville and Kandi Oden Thompson of Inwood; and her sisters, Mary Ann Heishman (David) of Kearneysville, Joyce Redmond (Charles) of Kearneysville and Ellen Fitzgerald (Joseph) of Ranson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
