It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Virginia Lee Smith of Charles Town, West Virginia, born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 95, on April 29, 2023. She was predeceased by : her parents, Marie Shewbridge (Kain) and Howard Lee Shewbridge, Sr.; her husband Donald S. Smith; her daughter Melissa Marie Smith; her brothers, Dr. Anthol Shewbridge and Howard Shewbridge, Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, John, Bill, Archie and Barry Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Sharon S. Mayer (Steven) of Potomac, MD and Christopher D. Smith of Charles Town, WV; her grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, Olivia Smith, Nicholas Mayer, Suzanne Vyvoda and Karen Fisher; and her siblings-in-law, Carroll Todd Smith, Mildred, Judy, Betsy Smith and Virginia Shewbridge. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
