He was predeceased by: his parents, Pilar Mendez and Consuleo Luna Mendez; and his son Jeffrey Alan Mendez. He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Mullins Mendez; his children, Vicki Gibson (Tim) of Charleston and Paul Mendez (Mary) of Hurricane; and his brothers, Ernest Mendez (Connie) of Temple, Sam Mendez (Patty) of Antioch and Abie Mendez (Lu) of Menifee, California.. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
