It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Carolyn Pennington of Charleston, West Virginia, born in Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reece C. Pennington and Dorothy Reynolds Pennington of Kopperston, WV; and her brother Larry Pennington of Crestview, FL.. She is survived by: her sons, James Patrick Toler (Melissa) of Charlotte, NC and Dr. John Christopher Toler (Lynette) of Summerville, SC; her siblings, Lyle Pennington (Marge) of Moorpark, CA and Iris Toler of South Charleston, WV; her grandchildren, Madison, Mason Toler of Charlotte, NC and Faith Toler of Summerville, SC.; her daughter-in-law Diane Plantz (Steve) of Charleston, WV; her stepdaughter Kim Rice of Proctorville, OH; her grandchildren, Bo Plantz (Courtney) of Parkville, MD, Sam Plantz (Danielle) of Morgantown, WV, Kristin Wine (Justin) of Crown City, OH, Sarah Butler (Justin) of Maysville, KY and Laura Rice of Chesapeake, OH.; and her great grandchildren, Isla, Adaleigh, Emmie and Lena.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
