With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Sue Cyrus of Charleston, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Barbara Sue farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara Sue is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her mother Jessie Knight Johnson; her stepmother Jessie; and her husband Tom Cyrus. She is survived by: her sister Deborah Stanley (Roy) of Griffithsville, WV; her caregiver Sheri Sapp of South Charleston; her son Mark Duff of Bluefield, VA; her grandchildren, Casey, Danielle and Madison; and her close friends, Gayle Panucci and Pris Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Huse Memorial Park (124 Park Dr, Fayetteville, WV 25840).
