Bud Miller Obituary
Harry O. "Bud" Miller Jr., age 67, a resident of Charleston, WV., formally of Belington, and Philippi, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in the Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston, WV. He had been declining in health for quite some time. Bud was a beloved son, father, brother, cherished friend, and vibrant spirit who touched the lives of all that knew him.
He was born on June 4, 1959, in Elkins, WV., a son to the late Harry O., Miller Sr., and Belaugh (Shoemaker) Miller.
Bud had never married.
He leaves behind his children; Kayla Bennett, and husband Junior, Patsy, Natasha, Crystal, Peggy, Susie, and Charles Olen, several grandchildren including; Farrah Brook, Gabriel Brooks, Theodore Brooks, Skylar Brook, and Aiden, two brothers, and two sisters, several friends including best friends; Bill Altmann, and Lori Kittle.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; Sherri Miller.
Mr. Miller was Christian of faith, he attended the schools of Barbour County, he was a Lumber Jack for many years where earned many scrapes and bruises. Bud also worked at other various jobs throughout his journey. A man who wasn't afraid to work he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was always telling stories about his past and the present. Bud loved to sit around the campfire while telling stories, drinking one of his favorite spirts, smoking cigarettes, or even cooking something to eat over the fire. Also, he would mow grass, he rode his bicycle and took walks where he could relax and meditate. Throughout his years, Bud was known for his warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering spirit. He was a man of strong principles and quiet resilience, carrying himself with grace and dignity in every situation. His generosity and compassion for others were hallmarks of his character, reflecting the deep love he held for his family and friends.
Friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11 am until 1 pm, the funeral hour. Interment will follow at the K of P Cemetery near Junior where he will be laid to rest by his daughter Sherri. WV. THE FAMILY HAS ASKED THAT FLOWERS BE OMITED AND TO OFFSET THE COST OF HIS FUNERAL EXPENSES THAT DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED HERE ONLINE OR TO THE FUNERAL HOME ADDRESS.
