Carroll Carlton Burnside Obituary

Carroll Carlton Burnside, 62 of Charleston, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Charleston. Carl was born on July 26, 1954 in Charleston to the late Kreama Lee Johnson-Burnside and James Henry Burnside. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving as a Telecommunications Operations Specialist. After his military commitment, Carl continued to work for the United States government for several years.

Finally, he served as a Probation Officer for the City of Baltimore, MD, before returning home to Charleston. He along with his fiancée, Kymberli Williams, are of the Christian faith and attended church in the Charleston area. Carl was a 1975 graduate of West Virginia State College, where he received two degrees. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Walker, Theopolis Burnside and Sylvester Johnson.

He is survived by his fiancée, Kymberli Williams of Charleston; daughter, Fatima Logan of Baltimore, MD; and 4 grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston. Burial will follow at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
