He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayward Blackshire and Anna Blackshire; his brother Randy; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Wayne, Christopher (Elysha), Karen Taylor Walls (James) and Tabitha Fowler (Jason); his grandchildren, Kevin, Kristina, Ronald, Alex, Scott, Jacob, Hannah, Joseph, Boone and Rhett; his great grandchildren, Sanorah, Taylor, Elijah, Nathaniel, Jasper and Brayden; and his sisters, Sue and Nancy (Judy). He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home (1118 Virginia St E, Charleston, WV 25301).
