He is survived by: his wife Paula; his stepson Jarod Mallory; his granddaughter Madison Mallory; his sisters, Vernita Ellis (Vernon) and Armelia Bell; his stepmother Lottie Merritt-Lewis; his stepsiblings, Deborah Merritt-Ham (Mike), Paul Merritt (Cheryl), Jane Rolle (Maxwell), Jerome Merritt and Gloria Merritt Robertson (Michael); and his cousin Gloria Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
