David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Burgess and Audrey Burgess; and his brothers, Mike and Johnny Burgess. He is survived by: his daughters, Cathi Burgess Sparks (Jay) and Terri Burgess Davis; the mother of his children Ruthann Burgess; his siblings, Kent Burgess, Patty Woods and Pam Brown; his grandchildren, Logan (Danny), Christian, Tray (Lindsey), Travis (Karly), Tianna and Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Rowen, Jack and Jensen.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
